Sighting's for Tuesday 7th January 2020 - Footpaths are now open to Nelson-Lyle and Lyle hides. Wellies are essential to get along the footpaths from the main hide.

Today's sightings - 05/01/2020
We have opened the footpath to Nelson-Lyle hide this morning, Sun 5 January, as water levels are dropping. Wellies are essential to get to this additional hide from the main hide, as you are walking through standing water.

Water levels are currently dropping away nicely on the reserve, spits of land are appearing and we will update as soon as paths are re-opened. Swan feeds and hare walks are the best times to have our wonderful variety of species pointed out to you.

Due to high water levels on the Ouse Washes the largest number of birds to see are diving ducks in the day and swans from dusk. Lady Fen is providing the greater variety of birds, great views from the visitor centre.

Sightings for Tuesday 31st December 2019. Large numbers of swans feeding on the Fenland farmland, returning to the reserve and providing a "fly-in" spectacle from around 3:30pm onwards.
