Today's Highlights

A beautiful day at WWT Welney today with plenty of black-tailed godwit, ruff, dunlin and redshank feeding and sleeping to the right of the observatory.  Then creating beautiful murmurations in the sky when a bird of prey flies over.

Todays highlights include a Bewick's swan joining us for the 3:30 feed amongst the many whooper swans, pochard, mallard, coots and tufted duck.

Photo: The floodlit feeds are brilliant at the moment with the amount of swans present and the amount of ringed swans you can see. Wimble (FZ6) in the photo is a regular, read about our recent sightings of swans at the feeds - http://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/welney/news/2014/11/wwt-welney-news/floodlit-swan-feeds/
