Ferruginous duck

Ferruginous duck - 1 female, in amongst the pochard in front of the main observatory and coming in for the swan feeds with them, giving nice close views.

Large flocks of lapwing - in fields next to the visitor centre and flying over the reserve this morning.

There is a large flock of whooper swans in a field between Ten Mile Bank and the visitor centre, the evening floodlit feeds are the best to attend for good numbers of swans on the reserve after they have come in to roost.
