Wildlife sightings - including a whimbrel on Wader Lake

Wader Lake (AM, mid-tide):

Avocet - 6 adults, 2 juveniles and 6 chicks

Lapwing - 4 adults, 1 juvenile and 3 chicks

Oystercatcher - 4 adults and 2 chicks

Redshank - 2

Whimbrel - 1

Shelduck - 10 adults and 40 ducklings

Tufted duck - 8 adults and 15 ducklings

Grey heron - 12 adults and 36 juveniles/chicks

Common tern - 81

Saline lagoon (AM, mid-tide):

Oystercatcher - 2

Plus a song thrush (juvenile) and a blackcap in Spring Gill Wood
