East of site currently closed

There is some tree damage at the east of site on the visitor path. It's a very large tree so we will be keeping this area closed until we can get a tree surgeon in to make it safe. Thank you for your understanding, we will remove this alert once the area has reopened.

Happy birthday boys!

Rod and Musa tear open their fishy birthday present Rod and Musa, our cheeky Asian short-clawed otters, celebrated their 2nd birthdays in style, with tasty fishcakes and a fishy present for them to tear open.

Many thanks to Sainsbury's in Washington for providing the responsibly-sourced fish, prawns and mussels to make their delicious treats.

Owen Joiner and Gill Pipes from WWT and Mark Murray from Sainsbury's get ready for the birthday party.
