East of site currently closed

There is some tree damage at the east of site on the visitor path. It's a very large tree so we will be keeping this area closed until we can get a tree surgeon in to make it safe. Thank you for your understanding, we will remove this alert once the area has reopened.

No entry to Spring Gill today (12/07/16)

We’re undertaking essential work at Window on the Wear today which involves some heavy plant machinery - unfortunately this means that the fox proof gates into Spring Gill and the amphibian ponds will be closed for the day.

The rest of the site including Wader Lake and the Saline Lagoon remains open as usual.
