There is some tree damage at the east of site on the visitor path. It's a very large tree so we will be keeping this area closed until we can get a tree surgeon in to make it safe. Thank you for your understanding, we will remove this alert once the area has reopened.

Introducing Ganderland – our new goose hand-feeding area!

Work will begin on this exciting nose-to-beak exhibit on Monday 8 June and should be completed within one week.

During this time there may be some temporary path closures while we move materials around site, but our staff and volunteers will be on hand to show you alternative routes and we expect the disruption to be minimal.

Ganderland will be situated opposite the white-headed duck pen at the top of Close Encounters and will feature seating, informative interpretation and designated areas where visitors can enjoy one of WWT Washington’s best experiences - feeding corn to some of the world’s most endangered waterbirds straight from their outstretched hand.

We look forward to unveiling it soon!
