East of site currently closed

There is some tree damage at the east of site on the visitor path. It's a very large tree so we will be keeping this area closed until we can get a tree surgeon in to make it safe. Thank you for your understanding, we will remove this alert once the area has reopened.

Artists of the month - David and Louise Gibbon

David and Louise Gibbon are husband and wife wildlife photographers who became interested in taking nature photographs after first visiting RSPB Saltholme in Teesside following its opening in 2009.

Although they’ve always had an interest in wildlife, their passion for photography came about after buying a digital SLR.

Now, they both use Canon 7D cameras with a prime lens and aim to capture wildlife displaying natural behaviour in its own habitat.

[/caption] David and Louise also use Photoshop to further bring out the natural beauty and colours of their subject. Prints of the photographs - some of which have featured in national magazines - will be on sale throughout March (£20 framed, £15 unframed and two framed for £30). Share this article
