Pink-feet

A few wintery showers passing through today. The next few days look like they'll be excellent for some calm winter birding.

Lots of Pink-footed Geese activity on the reserve indicating further influxes from their Norfolk wintering stronghold. Five species of geese seen today with Greylag, Canada and Bar-headed firmly in the feral camp although a Barnacle with the Pinks could easily be wild.

Two Peregrine hunting through the day causing commotion among the large flocks of Lapwing, Wigeon and Teal. Also 5+ Common Buzzard, Marsh Harrier, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk. Barn Owl late on.
