Migrants

Plenty of summer migrants to be seen on site at the moment, 2 Grasshopper Warbler can be seen and heard along the reedbed walk along with Reed and Sedge Warbler. Other warblers include Whitethroat, Blackcap, Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff.

A slow trickle of Swallows, House Martin and Sand Martin heading north today. Still at least 2 Common Sandpiper on site and Little ringed Plover and the Little Gull and 2 Mediterranean Gulls are still around but the Little Gull can go missing for hours at a time.

A Marsh Harrier was seen from Harrier hide, aslo Kestrel and Common Buzzard were seen. Lots of Shoveler activity with small groups of birds flying around the reserve.
