Med Gulls and Knot
After a spell of no Mediterranean Gulls for a while 3 birds spent some time on the Mere in the morning, an adult summer and 2 (2nd cal year/1st summers)
Another group of c30 Knot appeared late morning among a flock of Black-tailed Godwit and again dropped on to Woodend Marsh where they spent some time, also 4 Wigeon on the Marsh here.
At least 3 Little Egret around the reserve and the Cuckoo was again calling from somewhere in the collection area.
Late afternoon a Barn Owl was out hunting around Top Mere area and an Otter was seen in the channel in front of Ron Barker Hide briefly this afternoon.
