Wildlife Sightings for 13th September 2025

Two Kingfishers seen around the main lake. Bittern on the reservoir lagoon and Glossy Ibis still present. First Wigeon of the Autumn spotted.

2 Green Sandpiper - main lake, grazing marsh

2 Kingfisher - main lake, wader scrape

1 Hobby - over the marsh

1 Kestrel - reservoir lagoon

1 Sparrowhawk - reservoir lagoon

1 Little Grebe - sheltered lagoon

1 Wigeon - main lake

40+ Passage Sand Martins and House Martins feeding over the main lake.

Butterflies and dragonflies (early-September) - Red Admiral, Clouded Yellow, Small White, Green-veined White, Large White, Speckled Wood, Common Blue, Small Heath, Blue-tailed Damselfly, Common Blue Damselfly, Small red-eyed Damselfly, Willow Emerald Damselfly, Common Darter, Ruddy Darter, Southern Hawker, Migrant Hawker.
