Wildlife sightings 13th May 2012

Additional sightings from yesterday:

 

Flock of 90 Swift, with 1 showing all characteristics of Pallid Swift - seen well by experienced observer for 20 minutes until c. 10:15. Seen from the Peacock Tower flying low over the grazing marsh, then no further sign. Moved off site with flock of Swift.

 

Green Hairstreak butterfly - outside Dulverton hide, approximately 13:45. This is the first record for London Wetland Centre, and thought to be scarce for a site this close to Inner London.
