Recent Wildlife Sightings 6th - 12th July
There has been lots of new and young life showing around the reserve this week with many young broods spotted from the viewing screens and fishing platforms onto Deep Water Lake. These species include Coot’s, Moorhen’s, Gadwall’s, Great Crested Grebe, Black Headed Gulls and even some Pochard.
Out from the Michael Powell hide, a Peregrine Falcon was spotted on Thursday catching some breakfast. A number of Black-Tailed Godwits, Greenshank and Redshank where also seen feeding. There are some new arrivals on the Saline Lagoon, cows.
