WWT Llanelli will be closed for one day on Wednesday 20 May.

We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. Recent Sightings (9th-13th Jan)

Millennium Wetlands

Lots of activity on the reserve including a Sparrowhawk and Buzzard, vocal Cetti's Warbler (2) and Song Thrush (3), as well as 8 Redwing, 7 Water Rail, 1 drumming Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Green Woodpecker. Other birds counted include 1 Kingfisher over Deep Water Lake, 2 Pochard, 17 Teal, 7 Cormorant, 6 Shoveler, 26 Gadwall, 3 Little Grebe, 15 Tufted Duck, 4 Grey Heron, 3 Snipe and the Ring Necked Duck! A sighting of a Hawfinch was made on the morning of the 13th, near the trees behind the Peter Scott Hide. The Brambling is showing well still at the Kingfisher Café feeders.
