WWT Llanelli will be closed for one day on Wednesday 20 May.

We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. We will reopen on Thursday 21 May as usual. Thank you for your support and understanding.

British Steel Hide

On Tuesday we had a great view of six spoonbills and a beautiful spotted redshank in amongst them. There have been good numbers of black-tailed godwit this week along with our other familiar waders - lapwing, redshank and greenshank. It's always a great sight to see thirty of forty cormorants line up neatly on the strip of land between the two lagoons.

Millennium Wetlands

We have had lots more sightings of foxes this week, its nice to see how individual they all! We have caught otters on camera again so be sure to check out our other social media as we will try and upload that footage soon. The ring necked duck has been amongst the many tufted ducks again this week but she's very hard to spot. The snipes also blend in very well with the islands on deep water lake but a jack snipe was spotted amongst them too. Some beautiful male pintails and pochards have been on the lake as well.
