WWT Llanelli will be closed for one day on Wednesday 20 May.

We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. Recent Sightings 4th - 6th September

Highlights: Otter, Cattle Egret, Spoonbill

British Steel Hide

Good variety of waders on the Saline Lagoons, species seen include: Black-tailed Godwit, Knot, Redshank, Greenshank, Dunlin and Lapwing. Other interesting species seen include: Cattle Egret, Spoonbills, Shelduck and a Peregrine Falcon.

Millennium Wetlands
The recent highlight was not a bird but was in fact the Otter which showed nicely from the Peter Scott Hide. There were still some interesting birds around including 2 Barn Owls and the usual Kingfishers.
