WWT Llanelli will be closed for one day on Wednesday 20 May.

We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. Recent sightings 30th Jan - 1st Feb

Highlights include, Goshawk, Siskin and regular Otter sightings.

British Steel Hide

Work is still being carried out on the sea wall so only small groups of Redshank and Greenshank have been seen.


Millennium Wetlands

Large numbers of Gadwall, Teal and Shoveler have been seen on Deep Water Lake taking refuge from the frosty mornings. A group of 10 Little Grebe as well as 12 Lapwing and Snipe have also been seen. Redwing, Siskin, Reed Bunting and Lesser Redpole have been seen on the walk from the center to the Herons Wing. Great Spotted Woodpecker and Jays make regular use of the feeders by the Hides. A number of Mammal tracks where left in the snow, with Fox, rabbit, small rodent and Otter being the most common. On Friday the 1st the Otter was spotted on four separate occasions from the Herons wing between 9:30 and 13:00 so keep an eye out.
