We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. Recent Sightings 22nd-25th February

Highlights - Goshawk, Yellow-legged Gull, Spoonbill, Peregrine Falcon

British Steel Hide

From The Steel Hide there has been a large gathering of Gulls recently which has included a nice Yellow-legged Gull. There is also a good selection of Waders which includes: Curlew, Black-tailed Godwits, Knot, Redshank, Greenshank and Lapwing. The Spoonbills are still showing on and off on the Saline Lagoons. On the Dafen Scrapes there is a good sized flock of Wigeon feeding on the grass with a few Black-tailed Godwits mixed in. A Buzzard was seen flying over the scrapes being mobbed along the way.

Millennium Wetlands

A Goshawk was seen taking a peregrines hard earned meal over Deep Water Lake. Nice views of a Cetti's Warbler from the Herons Wing Hide. There is a good selection of Wildfowl which includes: Shoveler, Gadwall, Pochard, Mallard, Tufted Duck and Teal. There was a Little Grebe calling from the Reeds in fornt of the Peter Scott Hide this morning.
