We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. Recent Sightings 20th - 22nd November

Highlights - Otter, Spoonbills, Spotted Redshank

British Steel Hide

The seven Spoonbills have been showing well on the Saline Lagoons recently and there has been a decent variety of waders including: Spotted Redshank, Dunlin, Greenshank, Redshank, Black-tailed Godwit, Lapwing and Curlew. On the Dafen Scrapes the Wigeon numbers are picking up slowly with over 100 seen throughout the week.

Millennium Wetlands

The Otter was seen multiple times on Wednesday on the Deep Water Lake and even walked over the stone island allowing brilliant views for a lucky few. The Spoonbills were seen flying around the Millennium Wetlands throughout the week but were never seen to land.The Wildfowl numbers are slowly picking up with Pochard, Shoveler, Tufted Duck and Teal numbers building.
