We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. Recent Sightings 10th - 13th September

Highlights include: Otter, Cattle Egret, Curlew Sandpiper and Garganey.

British Steel Hide

A varied selection of waders have been feeding on the Saline Lagoons recently, which include: Curlew Sandpiper, Knot, Greenshank, Redshank and Black-tailed Godwit. The Cattle Egret has showed brilliantly in front of the Micheal Powell Hide where a Yellow Wagtail flew over. The usual 5 Spoonbills are also still present with good numbers of Little Egrets.

The Garganey is still present on the Dafen Scrapes associating with Teal. Numbers of Shoveler, Gadwall and Tufted Ducks have been increasing over the past few days.

Millennium Wetlands
Once again the Otter was seen fishing in the Deep Water Lake early Wednesday morning. A Barn Owl, Kingfisher and Cetti's Warbler have been spotted across the Millennium Wetlands this week.
