Nene mothers' day!
It’s a very happy mothers’ day here at WWT Llanelli as one of our nenes has become a mother, with the first three nene chicks of the season hatching today!
The chicks were first spotted by volunteer Eric James in our island pen. They have been out and about but are also spending a lot of time being brooded by their parents to keep nice and warm!
We are expecting more nene chicks over the coming weeks. They grow fast so make sure you visit soon to see them before they grow up! You can join one of our guided walks every weekday at 1pm, and at 1pm every day during the school Easter holidays, for help finding them!
