Can TV presenter Mike Dilger feed over 500 birds at WWT Llanelli in less than an hour?
Can TV presenter and naturalist Mike Dilger feed all of our collection birds, over 500 in total, the right food in less than an hour...? You are welcome to join him on his journey and find out! He will begin his challenge at 3pm on Sunday 27 January, as part of his “Big 9 Challenge” to visit all nine WWT centres across the UK in just nine days.
Mike said: "Starting on the 25th of January 2013 I shall be attempting what (to my knowledge) no human has ever managed – to visit all of the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust Centres in nine consecutive days!”
Here at WWT Llanelli we’ve decided to challenge Mike Dilger to try to get around our entire collection, pushing the giant wheelbarrow full of food, and give all of our birds the right type and amount of food! He will of course be guided by our warden, Paul, who will give a helping hand if needed!
This is a great opportunity to watch our ducks in action as they rush up to the wheelbarrow for food, and to ask Mike any questions you may have. This is a one-off opportunity not to be missed!
